The New decade, a New Logo and Art Chat 2020

Happy New Decade...

Drawing, Painting, Writing, and Sewing are my main things. But every now and then I will surprise myself and others with something I have made or done. My greatest creation, of course, is my children. They are now grown with children of their own. I can see the artistic eye and ability of both my children. They are very creative and so are the grandkids. :)

So what have I been up to lately?

Introducing my new logo. This can serve as a certificate of authenticity for my creations.
I have been watching lots of YouTube videos on my favorite topics and have spoken to several people about YouTube channel possibilities. My more pressing matter is setting up my new website.

FlowerFreely Blog 2020

The artsails1 blog started in 2007. That was 13 years ago.
Last 5 years I didn't write on it much, as I was busy getting my education.
I also didn't email it out to people, so it no longer had the following, it once had.
I graduated in Dec. 2019. So 2020 represents a new chapter for me in more ways than one.

By going back to school I was able to take a lot of classes. I had three classes in the theatre including scenic design and costume design construction. I also took guitar lessons and learned a bit of German and didn't learn much Spanish. I studied a wide variety of Art History, US History, and even had a class on the History of Science and Technology.

For the last few years, I have been studying genealogy,  I have learned a lot more world history. On all 4 sides, I discovered my family had been among the first Europeans in Acadia, Nova Scotia and Quebec, Canada. I learned what the French King did to develop the French colonies there. I had never heard of the King's daughters aka Filles doi Ro. I also found out that almost everyone with French Canadian ancestry alive today is most likely related. (very far back in some cases, so far back they do not always show as genetic matches) I could write a paper on that area of discovery alone.
I also discovered multiple connections to the Mayflower and the early English settlements in the  American colonies. Again, I could tell you much more, but this is a summary of what prompted me to start an entirely new blog for 2020. This blog will be more broadly based then my previous blogs.

In addition,  I will indicate with a * symbol when an image is available for purchase. If the original is not available, in most cases I have digital images and can create a photographic print for you.
The best quality print size will usually be 8x10 inches.  Occasionally, a bit larger.
None of today's images are framed but in the future, if it is a framed work,
the * will have an F beside it. So, if you see *F it's available and it is framed.
Thank you for reading my blog and if you like it or have any questions let me know.
I will have to get a subscribe button set up but want to get this posted today, so until next time

I plan to Flower Freely this year...this decade...

and always be in bloom!

Putting Together parts of the FamilyTree

HI    have developed a deep love for genealogy and anything related to genetics. I had always been interested in doing a family tree and had worked on it over the years every now and then and just recently discovered emails and letters from relatives now long gone. My dearest cousin and godmother Dolly Nicols had actually taken a complete family inventory of all the T family in 2000. Thank heavens for that since I had not lived in MA for many years and lots of children had been born and many of my cousins had married.  This is an almost totally complete record of each person and who they married (and/or divorced) and what kids they had with birth dates and all.  Before the internet and genetic testing was widely available it was rather difficult to go back very far in any of my family trees due to lack of records and the divorces of my grandparents. Now with the internet and vast networks of family records all online, it has really intensified my rese...

Just writing random thoughts

Been wanting to do this for a while. So many things to write about, yet still so many things to do. Now on summer break so it's a good time to start a new blog. I have other blogs but they are very specific to what they are for. This one, I named  F lower Freel y... To flower freely let life flow freely, sharing your being-ness with the universe as you are, where you are. A s a woman that has lived a few centuries, I think a lot and ponder thoughts randomly and have come to a time when I may actually have learned a few of life's lessons. (which are different for different people) I have thought about a lot more things than I ever had before. Besides studying art, theatre, and business I have taken the academic core and learned a lot of other things. But, this is not the only reason I have had a lot on my mind. No, I have also had a lot of life experiences in the last ten years. Traumatic things like the loss of a loved one, a son in the war zone, having cancer ...
