Flower Freely

Since this is my last semester for my BFA degree, it only seems fitting to explore a few things. People remember things better when they are written down and they can see the facts as they were rather than trying to recall them. Graduating Dec. 2019! FYI I was surprised to learn that most of the art in Japan was done by monks and aristocrats only up until about 150 years ago. The study of Japanese woodcuts dovetailed really nicely with learning lino and woodcut printing in my Print Shop class.  I had both during the same semester. HI    have developed a deep love for genealogy and anything related to genetics. I had always been interested in doing a family tree and had worked on it over the years every now and then and just recently discovered emails and letters from relatives now long gone. My dearest cousin and godmother Dolly Nicols had actually taken a complete family inventory of all the T family in 2000. Thank heavens for that since I had not lived in MA for many years and lots of children had been born and many of my cousins had married.  This is an almost totally complete record of each person and who they married (and/or divorced) and what kids they had with birth dates and all.  Before the internet and genetic testing was widely available it was rather difficult to go back very far in any of my family trees due to lack of records and the divorces of my grandparents. Been wanting to do this for a while. So many things to write about, yet still so many things to do. Now on summer break so it's a good time to start a new blog. I have other blogs but they are very specific to what they are for. This one, I named  F lower Freel y...
